The Campanile is Yoshiko Yamamoto's tribute to Berkeley. It was unveiled, along with "The Golden Gate – Summer Fog" triptych,
during The Framer's Workshop 40th Anniversary Celebration. Sather Tower is a campanile with clocks on its four faces. It is the 'crown jewel' of the University of California, Berkeley campus. More commonly known as The Campanile for its resemblance to the Campanile di San Marco in Venice. It's Gothic Revival architecture was designed by John Galen Howard and first opened in 1914. Standing 307' tall, it is the third tallest clock tower in the world.
