Campari America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A., which together with its affiliates Gruppo Campari, comprise an international beverage powerhouse making it the sixth-largest spirits company in the world.
At the heart of Campari America are two legends in the American spirits industry. The first, Skyy Spirits, was founded in San Francisco back in 1992 by the entrepreneur who invented iconic SKYY Vodka. The second is the world-famous Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, where they have been making the world’s finest whiskies since the 1800’s. Both companies were purchased by Davide Campari-Milano and together they form Campari America.Unrivaled in its quality, innovation and style, the Campari America portfolio is a top choice among distributors, retailers and consumers. |
Campari America completely renovated several floors in the Levi’s Plaza complex in San Francisco for their new US Headquarters. The renovation, designed by Rapt Studio, is impressive, and works perfectly to show off the company, the product, and the surrounding San Francisco Bay views.
This project included three types of art treatments: Printing of vintage advertising posters for a new board room, printing and mounting laminated plaques for oversized advertising images, and the framing of a 58” x 81” fragile original antique poster recently shipped from their headquarters in Milan.
Working with the designers at Rapt Studio and executives at Campari, we printed vintage Campari advertisement files for their etched glass enclosed board room. Color rendition had to be perfect, and all images needed to be the same size. As some of the old files were of lower resolution and varied in size, our graphics department worked on the files to boost color where necessary and standardize sizes. Ken from Work of Art perfectly fit the framed pieces within a recessed space that was purpose-built for this art
In 2013, Campari America was presented with a stunning gift from headquarters in Milan: A huge 81” tall original Bitter Campari painting in a vivid orange against a black background. Campari wanted to get this piece framed and installed before a VIP visit from Italy, so time was of the essence. This fragile piece sustained a small amount of damage in transport to the US, but we were able to have it repaired by the talented conservator, Karen Zukor at Zukor Art Conservation. Karen worked hard to squeeze this piece into her already busy schedule to help us meet the deadline.
We framed this valuable piece using a solid walnut in an ebony finish, and separated the UV protective Optium Museum Acrylic® from the painting using a spacing technique. The painting is backed with 8ply 100% cotton rag board. The Optium Museum Acrylic® affords an extremely clear, reflection-free view of this beautiful piece of art. Work of Art installed this piece at the elevator lobby entrance to Campari America.
We also printed and plaque mounted a series of oversized advertisements to match the no-frame look of existing mounted pieces owned by Camapri. These bold, strikingly large images are installed throughout the office complex.
