Our work at NorthMarq Capital was unique in that it involved art choices made by individual employees in an office environment where maximum visibility was shared throughout the floor.
The challenge was to encourage the employee in each glass walled office to express his or her own individual taste while maintaining a professional, unified décor throughout the floor. Moreover, the company had a budget we needed to work within.
The solution was to allow each employee to choose several prints for us to review with management. We helped them choose appropriate art from several print books and framed each pair identically in blond frames with 4 ply ivory rag board matting. We used ultraviolet protecting glass throughout because of the large expanse of windows in the Embarcadero complex. The result was a colorful choice of large, reasonably inexpensive prints, framed and installed so that passersby in the glass walled hallway would enjoy them as much as the office occupants.
