Framed _The Grand Tour_ NASA_JPL Poster in a Prisma Frame Dear Kirstie,

It's autumn and the winter holidays will soon be upon us.

In this email we're featuring our print-on-demand service for NASA/JPL's "Visions of the Future" posters. (Learn more about them in the next block below.)

"The Grand Tour" poster (above right), is double matted in a light-green Prisma frame. It would make a special gift for a space exploration buff. "The Grand Tour" is the route taken by the Voyager 2 spacecraft visiting the four outer planets. It is envisioned here as a travel poster for amateur space explorers. In the future, it may be considered "quaint" to experience the "gravity assist" trajectory possible only once every 175 years when the planets are in the correct alignment.

Be sure to take a look at all 14 fascinating print-on-demand posters and learn more in the box further below.

Visions of the Future
NASA/JPL Poster Prints-on-Demand

_Visions of the Future_ NASA_JPL Posters Printed-on-Demand
A creative team of visual strategists at Jet Propulsion Laboratory known as "The Studio," created this whimsical travel poster series, entitled "Visions of the Future." Stylistically reminiscent of WPA National Parks posters from the 1930s and '40s, nine artists brainstormed with JPL scientists and engineers to create this fascinating series of images.

These digital files are available free online from jpl.nasa.gov. The paper size for each print-on-demand poster is 20" x 30" (image size 17" x 26") We offer them printed on Epson Enhanced Matt paper using Epson archival inks for $50 each + $8 S&H. Click HERE to learn more or to place an order online.
What can a Graphics Manager do for you?
Our Graphics Manager, Mike Wells, does far more than create this Newsletter!
Front Wall Visualization Above is a photograph of the main gallery wall in our shop. Or is it? Well, yes and no. Click HERE to see the original photograph and how Mike re-visioned it using his digital graphic skills.

Mike has been with The Framer's Workshop since 1977. As "Graphics Manager" Mike does far more than manage our extensive website and create this monthly newsletter. He is responsible for:
  • In-House Digital Photo Restoration
  • Creative Visualization for our Individual and Corporate Clients
  • One-on-One Scanning and Printing services for special framing and printing projects
  • Support for custom designed graphics such as one-of-a-kind posters and other imaging projects.
Mike can work directly with you to insure your print, photograph, one-of-a-kind poster or other visual project meets your satisfaction. Next month we'll feature more of what Mike can do for you. In the meantime you can take a look at our Framing Visualization page for examples of his digital creativity!
Quirky Berkeley by Tom Dalzell
Available in our shop this month
Quirky Berkeley by Tom Dalzell Based on Tom Dalzell's blog of the same name, the book Quirky Berkeley pays tribute to the boldly imaginative artwork on display in front of, on top of, and engulfing residents' houses all over Berkeley. In this fascinating book you'll learn about: the giant orange on Spruce Street, a house in the shape of a tardigrade, bowling balls as lawn art, enormous dachshund sculptures, a pyramid made out of birdhouses and more! Available in our shop this month.
